Day 1, Sunday: St. John’s Lutheran Tour
St. John’s students enjoyed their visit to the FDR Memorial and took 2 approxmately million pictures! Students were engaged, the weather was accommodating and the trip was off to a terrific beginning. Students pause outside of the American History Museum….Star Spangled Banner was a highlight! St. John’s students lay an honor wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier…..in the rain. They participated perfectly! “After a great sea-food buffet, St. John’s made one last stop, at the Iwo Jima Marine Memorial…. Then we ALL checked in to our hotel looking forward to a good night’s sleep. Can’t wait to see if this trip can possibly get any better!” – Dennis...
